Bowcliffe in the summer months is glorious, with a multitude of trees, shrubs and flowers posing prettily in their prime. All year round, the Bowcliffe garden team work relentlessly to make sure the Estate gardens look even better than the year before.
Due to the popularity of our previous horticultural events, we are delighted that Deputy Head Gardener Natalie Nixon will host our Summer Garden Tour, taking guests on a meandering stroll through the many pathways that sweep across the Estate.
What: Summer Garden Tour, Floral Design Demonstration and Three-Course Lunch
When: Wednesday, July 4th, 2018
Cost: £42.50 per person
During the tour, as well as having the opportunity to ask our green fingered guru anything about their own gardens and planting problems, Natalie will reveal the design secrets and planting features that bestow an air of romance and mystery to Bowcliffe’s stunning landscape, drawing attention to plants that offer significant horticultural merit and can be used in guests’ own garden to maximum effect.
Following the garden tour, guests will gather in the pretty Potting Shed where Natalie – who also has a floral design diploma – will demonstrate how to create a simple floral arrangement using flowers fresh from the Estate, hopefully inspiring you to recreate something similar at home.
The tour’s final flourish will be a delicious three-course light lunch, created by Head Chef, Andy Lawson and served up in the Bowcliffe Room.
