Mother's-Day at Bowcliffe Hall

Mum’s really do make the world go round, so this year we decided it was time to make Mother’s Day that little bit more special. On Sunday, 11th March, the Bowcliffe events and hospitality team turn their full attention to hosting a spectacular Mother’s Day lunch experience – devised especially to spoil mum rotten.

A red carpet welcome awaits as you join us for a relaxed welcome drink in the sumptuous Bowcliffe Drivers’ Club before heading to one of our beautiful dining rooms to enjoy a spectacular three-course luncheon menu created by Executive Head Chef, Andy Lawson. We can promise that from the moment you arrive, to the moment you leave, your mum will be made to feel truly cherished.

MOTHER’S DAY MENU

AMUSE BOUCHE

Butternut veloute

Toasted pine nuts and crispy sage

 

TO START

Oak smoked salmon
Crab and caviar, avocado and sourdough croutes

Whipped goats cheese
Textures of beetroot, compressed watermelon

Leek and potato soup
Soft poached egg and truffle dressing

Pressed ham hock terrine
Fig chutney, cider jelly, salt and vinegar crackling and toasted sourdough

 

TO FOLLOW

Roast dry-aged sirloin of beef
Duck fat potatoes, Yorkshire pudding served with seasonal vegetables

Pan-fried Halibut steak
Cauliflower puree, parmentier potatoes, black garlic and smoked almonds

Roast chicken breast
Watercress mash potato, baby carrots, asparagus spears and thyme infused jus

Baked gnocchi Sorrentino
Tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil leaves

 

TO FINISH

Sticky toffee pudding
Butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream

Set citrus cream
Strawberry ice cream, crunchy vanilla sponge and white chocolate crumble

Apple and rhubarb crumble
with rich custard

Dark chocolate and cherry parfait
Cinder toffee
