At Bowcliffe we don’t offer traditional Christmas parties, instead opting to do things a little differently. With the focus on sublime food and spectacular surroundings, this year the Bowcliffe Drivers’ Club is the backdrop for the heavenly Christmas Luncheon menu, created by Executive Chef, Andy Lawson. Perfect for entertaining clients, celebrating with the team or just an excuse to escape from the office for something a little different, Christmas lunch at Bowcliffe is an absolute must. Starters include wild mushroom and blue cheese arancini, whilst main courses offer our very own Laudale Estate venison and of course, free-range turkey breast. Our vegetarian option of winter spiced cauliflower & aubergine is equally delicious. For those unable to resist dessert, don’t miss the divine black forest gateaux with layers of chocolate sponge, kirsch soaked cherries, vanilla cream and chocolate crumble and morello cherry gel. Still got room for more? There’s a Yorkshire cheese selection accompanied with Peter’s Yard sourdough crackers, chutneys and quince with your name on it…

Book now for this wonderfully festive event whereby Bowcliffe’s Executive Head Chef Andy Lawson and Natalie Nixon – a member of our wonderfully talented Bowcliffe Hall Gardens Team – will lead you through the ultimate Christmas cookery masterclass and crafty Christmas workshop, helping you produce the most renowned of Christmas afters, a delicious Christmas pud, before showing you how to create an impressive table centrepiece using foliage and berries from around the Estate. After a delicious three-course lunch, get ready to release your inner creative as Natalie demonstrates how to make napkin rings, Christmas tree decorations and foliage covered vases before you get hands-on and create the sweetest festive pot, which will be yours to take home.

In what will likely be the most charming event of the year, we welcome you to celebrate the festive season and join us in creating your own, beautiful Christmas wreath with the help of Natalie Nixon from the wonderful Bowcliffe Hall Gardens Team.
Natalie will welcome you to Bowcliffe’s pretty Potting Shed, where you will enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits. Then, after a short introduction and demonstration, you will have the opportunity to wind and create a stunning wreath using foliage, mosses, and berries, cinnamon sticks and pine cones, all gathered from around the Bowcliffe Estate. After the class, you will enjoy a seasonal two-course lunch in the stunning Bowcliffe Room, created and cooked by Bowcliffe’s Executive Chef, Andy Lawson and accompanied by a glass of Prosecco.

CALL MY BLUFF WINE EVENING

Join us on Friday December 14th for a wonderfully entertaining evening spent blind taste testing fantastic wines as part of our ‘Call My Bluff’ Wine Event. Wines will be served in pairs, with representatives from our wine merchant, House of Townend, describing each wine talking according to grape, region and flavour. The catch – one of these descriptions will be false – is it really a Sauvignon? Does it taste like a New World red to you? It’s down to you to guess!
Set in what will be a decidedly festive and cosy Drivers’ Club, this is guaranteed to be a humorous and convivial evening; the perfect occasion to celebrate with colleagues, friends or family in the run-up to Christmas. Executive Head Chef Andy Lawson will be serving up a delicious light supper throughout the evening, especially prepared to complement each wine pair.
