There’s one thing that has never been in question, and that is that Bowcliffe Hall knows how to put on one heck of a great show. And if you ever needed proof, take just two and a half minutes to watch the promotional video from the 2016 Benjafield Yorkshire Buccaneer Rally, held and hosted by Bowcliffe Hall and its custodian, Jonathan Turner.
Regardless of the occasion, there is very little the events team at Bowcliffe team hasn’t seen, heard or done before. Perhaps this ability to turn its hand to any type of social or corporate affair, large or small, is best summed up by looking at the variety of automotive events Bowcliffe has hosted in the past.
New car product launches, corporate driving days, supercar and classic car events and as a backdrop for stunning photography, Bowcliffe’s lush estate, sweeping gravel driveway and first class event and catering facilities give it well-deserved gravitas.
During the Yorkshire Buccaneer Rally event, invitees enjoyed Yorkshire hospitality at its very finest, with local enthusiasts and classic car owners enjoying a day of rip-roaring action, driving around the Yorkshire countryside. The event was attended by a total of 41 rare historic cars, whose total value was in excess of £35million.
Starting at Bowcliffe Hall, the drivers headed to Bramham Park for a special gravel stage before heading to RAF Church Fenton where special permission was granted to close the runway for some high-speed runs along the tarmac normally reserved for aircraft. Ahead of lunch was a spot of karting and skidpan fun at Tockwith Motor Sports. Working off lunch was taken care of with more gravel stages ahead of an afternoon of hill climbing at Harewood before heading back to Bowcliffe Hall for a black tie dinner held in the magnificent Ballroom.
Organised by the Bowcliffe Hall team, the meet was a true show of how Bowcliffe’s events team is capable of flexing its muscles to deliver the seemingly undeliverable, with flair seldom found elsewhere.
