In Pictures: Bowcliffe Hall Sunday Meet

On Sunday 24th June, over 50 of Yorkshire’s finest cars roared through the gates of Bowcliffe and onto our sun-drenched lawns. Drivers’ Club members were joined by friends and family for a morning spent with indulging in their motoring passion alongside our famous hospitality.

The Sunday Meet was organised by Bowcliffe’s Head of Motoring Rosie Battye to celebrate all things motoring in the fabulous Bowcliffe grounds and of course pay homage to our unique Drivers’ Club, which alongside being a great place to eat, drink and enjoy glorious motoring artefacts, is just that, A Driver’s Club.

In true Yorkshire fashion, motoring enthusiasts enjoyed a breakfast of bacon butties and refreshments whilst wandering amongst the cars. We were lucky enough to span the ages with a lineup that included veteran, vintage, classic and modern classics. We were joined by the first ever Vauxhall, the only remaining Day Leeds, a rare Delage, some spectacular Austin Sevens, Bentleys and Sunbeams, all bringing the early days of motoring back to life. We saw some beautiful Jaguars, MG’s, Porsche’s, Morgans and Mercedes, representing a real span of the ages from the 1920’s right through to modern-day classics. Engines were inspected, lots of tips shared and a wonderful morning was had by all.

Drive it Day Sunday Meet at Bowciffe Hall

“Here at Bowcliffe we are more than passionate about cars, we want anyone considering any kind of motoring event to instantly think Bowcliffe Hall,” commented Rosie. “As the Sunday Meet has shown, people who have an interest in any type of motoring will find themselves at home here. Driving events, club days, product launches, corporate days or more boisterous rallies – we can make pretty much anything happen!”
