The Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s Bowcliffe Birthday Bash
WHICH VENUE DO YOU USE AT BOWCLIFFE HALL?
We used the lawns at the rear of Bowcliffe for our event. It was a garden party so had to be outside and the gardens at Bowcliffe were perfect for it.
CAN YOU DESCRIBE THE EVENTS YOU HOLD PLEASE?
I originally booked our event back in 2019 to be held in summer 2020, however due to COVID we had to postpone, and must have rearranged the event about three times! Originally it was to mark the YAA’s 20th anniversary, so it ended up being our ‘20th Anniversary plus 2’ celebration garden party!
HOW ARE THE FACILITIES IN YOUR CHOSEN VENUE?
Bowcliffe Hall was the ideal location for our event as we needed somewhere central in Yorkshire with easy access from the motorway. We were expecting over 300 people in attendance so also needed somewhere with plenty of car parking.
WHAT IS THE ROOM LAYOUT FOR YOUR EVENT?
As we had over 300 people at the event, we hired marquees which were set up round the edge of the lawn and brought in 3 food vendors to cater for our guests, alongside a traditional ice cream van, a string trio and a face painter. We also hired posh portaloos to cope with the number of guests. Bowcliffe provided the management of the event alongside the bar on the day.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT HOSTING EVENTS AT BOWCLIFFE?
Our guests were blown away with the venue! It felt so special to them, and they were all very well looked after. Using Bowcliffe was a pleasure – nothing was too much trouble for the team. Many guests said they felt like they were in an episode of Bridgerton with the setting and the string trio playing in the background!
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE BOWCLIFFE TEAM?
I cannot praise the staff and service at Bowcliffe highly enough – every time we had to push the date on again due to restrictions, it was no trouble for the team to re-arrange. The planning and organisation felt easy as everything was so well managed and coordinated by Brooke, and on the day nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.
ON A SCALE OF 1-10 (WITH 1 BEING NOT AT ALL AND 10 BEING DEFINITELY), WOULD YOU RECOMMEND BOWCLIFFE HALL AS A CORPORATE EVENTS VENUE?
I have no hesitation in recommending Bowcliffe as a corporate events venue! It really does tick all the boxes if you’re looking for a stunning venue in a wonderful setting with fantastic service. 10/10!
